John Lonsdale
After unexpectedly being selected as the online editorial intern for Maxim magazine, Greenlee School junior John Lonsdale spent his summer in New York City producing content and ideas for one of the nation's top men's magazines.
Members of the Greenlee School and the Ames community gathered Oct. 20 and 21, to participate in the Greenlee Futures Forum. The forum consisted of four panel discussions that focused on careers in political journalism and the uses for new media in journalism.
Over the summer, Greenlee School senior Leah Willadsen interned with HyVee at their corporate headquarters in Des Moines. WIlladsen came out of her internship with over 200 pieces of signage and a new sense of confidence in her work.
Pulitzer Prize winning columnist Clarence Page presented the 2011 Chamberlin Lecture, which focused on the responsibility of the media and America's political landscape. Page spent time with Greenlee School students and spoke about the upcoming presidential election.
