
Internships are an integral part of the education of our students. They allow students to refine and expand the knowledge and skills gained inside and out of the classroom.
While most journalism and mass communication programs recommend that students complete an internship, we've made it a requirement. This ensures that all of our students graduate with hands-on career experience that will make them marketable to employers.
Our graduates have gone on to very successful careers in local and national media outlets including CNN, MTV, The Wall Street Journal, The Des Moines Register, KCCI, Edelman and Meredith Corporation.
